Hi
A colleague at work just bought an iPhone and sold me his iPod Touch.

He had bought the Jan Upgrade. When I got it, I did an erase and reset. I asuumed that would just delete all his music, photos etc but leave on the upgrade.

The upgrade apps have disappeared.

Is the upgrade for an iTunes account or is it for the actual iPod in question?

Anyway I plugged it in to my Macbook, ran iTunes and created an account. The front page on the Store asked if I wanted to purchase the uprade. I chose No.

I have now decided I will pay for the upgrade but can't find out how to do it.

I have rest the iPod, upgraded to 1.1.4 and also Recovered it, but still no joy.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks.

If you and him are using a OS X then you can find the software pack on his computer and copy it to yours, and because the iPod is the same, it will have all the correct info I assume.

You can find it in ~/Library/iTunes/MobileApplications/

~ is the user account directory.

Hope this helped.

Hi Guys

Both using Leopard.

He's just gone on holiday, so I'll check with him when he gets back.

Thanks.
