So I jailbroke my friend's iPod Touch 2nd gen (yes, it is an MB model) using redsn0w 0.9.4
So yesterday he tells me that his iPod is messed up. He says he shut if off before going to bed, then he turns it on and the Apple logo appeared then went away after 5 seconds. When he tried again, it eventually booted nicely and the jailbreak was gone. Haven't seen this before, can someone explain what happened?

P.S. He did not restore using iTunes and it did detect his iPod at all times except when it was off.
