iPod touch iPod Touch 32gb Help

Hi All,
My refurbished iPod Touch just came today(ver. 2.2.1), and I set it all up and it was working fine. Then a while later, the apps i downloaded just stopped working. Whenever I try to open them, it tries to load, but then just goes back to the home screen. I tried restoring my iPod, but that didn't work. Please help ASAP. I want to download the 3.1 update, but before i spend the money, I want to make sure that it is not the iPod itself, but the software. Thanks

Do this, sync ipod, then while connected, log into itunes and authorize it. Had to do this with my daughters 2nd gen refurb.

My computer is already authorized. Don't know how to authorize touch.

I figured it out! I called applecare and they guided me through it. What happened was I downloaded a corrupt app. The app was remotepad. DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT!!!!! IF YOU ALREADY HAVE IT DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY!!!!
