iPod touch ipod touch 3g restored

I accidentally ran into a problem today on my 3g and upon plugging it into itunes it asked me to restore. Now its restored. But I have no clue what version its restored to.

Would anyone know what version would run on an itouch 3g after having it restored and updated from itunes. I need to know the ios on the device so I can use tha appropriate jb procedure.

The latest version available for the iPod Touch 3G is iOS 5.0.1, so there is no jailbreak procedure available right now.
