iPod touch iPod Touch 3rd Gen. NOT Charging

Hey guys, I just registered on these forums to hopefully get something resolved. See, my iPod Touch completely died this morning, and it doesn't seem to be charging. It's been plugged into the USB charger cable, which has been connected to my computer for over an hour. Still no charge.

I know my cable is not faulty, because I had a brand new one that I even attempted using before coming to these forums. Any advice?

Will it turn on at all? If not then try plugging it into itunes and holding the power button and home button for 15 seconds and then holding the home button for 10 seconds.
