Ok so, got a brand new iPod touch 4g the week before, and random freezing problem has been plaguing me ever since. Even before i jbed it, i noticed sometimes it used to hang up while switching between settings and safari anything, for about 4 seconds and then return back to normal. And also after syncing with itunes, it would freeze for about 4 seconds, about 6 seconds after the sync finished.
So i did a complete restore, and the iTunes problem is gone at least, however just an hour ago, i was switching between mail and safari
and it froze again for 4 seconds, nothing else was on.
And often when i exit an app, sometimes there is a response lag, like i swipe it left, and it swipes a couple of seconds afterwards, but that usually fixes itself.

So, could this be a hardware issue, although the freezing problem is present, it doesn't happen all the time and resolves itself in about 4 seconds, but it still worries me.
If it was a hardware issue, wouldnt the problem be a lot more persistent though? I'd like to request some advice.
