I was just wondering if anyone else is having this issue. My iPod gets pretty hot on the back upper left side, when its charging and I'm playing a game like "CookingDash", but it only gets hot if its charging and I'm playing a game. If I leave it charging, without using it, it doesn't get warm, and if I use it, and not charge it at the same time, it doesn't get warm either. Should I be concerned, and return it???

It gets hot when I charge it and when I play a game too. I don't think you should worry about it unless its to hot to even touch it.

games cause a huge battery drain and heat. normal. relax

I did, and couldn't find any problem similar to mine!

Funny, how when I search it I gets lots. Also it helps to sometimes not include the gen of the product.

I wanted to know if people were having the same issue with this new gen's iPod. Why would I care about the iPod from 1-2 years ago??? I know the older ones get warm, I thought they fixed the issue with the 4th Gen. ones.

How could they fix a non-issue? And remember, one must learn the history to learn the present.

You want to see heat, get a Star Tac phone and make a phone call more than a few minutes in length. I had one and it nearly burned my cheek it got so hot while on phone calls. they ALL did that.

HaHa

Hahaha this is kinda funny. You guys are talking about your iPods getting hot, when mine takes crappy video quality and even worse pictures. Unlike the ones I've seen on YouTube and such...

IF you think it is getting hotter than it should, then take it in and complain. Why? Yours might be slightly defective. The metal case is supposed to work as a heat dissipater. If yours is cased when charged, or in any way wrapped it would get hotter than a naked one. If yours is naked when it gets hot, then be suspitious of your charger. AC charger? I've seen all sorts that output far more than their rated specs. Repeatedly overheating the batter will shorten it's life.
