When I plug my iPod touch 4g into my friends aux wire for his car it makes a noise. Not a loud noise but u can hear it if u pay attention closely and also if u turn the volume down on the iPod itself
U also hear it. I first thought it was the wire but getting a new wire same thing happens still. It doesn't make any noise when plugged into headphones of any type. So I know it's not the iPod. I'm thinking maybe it's the way the jack on the iPod is slanted and doesn't allow normal aux to be plugged in all the way.

I found people complaining about same thing in iPod nano 6g and iPod touch 4g I think a 30pin to 3.5 mm would fix it

Btw have no case.
