iPod touch Ipod Touch 4g not updating

After searching the internets
Going through Apple's discussion boards
Trying to contact Apple about the issue
I still get nothing.

This is what I get:

I've tried restoring and it won't let me.
I've tried re-installing the latest iTunes version, and nothing happened.
I've restarted my Mac, and that didn't help.
I've tried different USB ports, and that's didn't help either.

Can anybody help?
