I've had a iPod touch 2g for years, and have taken it apart and replace multiple parts, so I'm not afraid of doing any kind of work on iPods. However, my sister recently dropped her iPod touch 4g in some water. We had her put it in some rice to dry it, but when she tried turning it on, the screen wouldn't turn on.
When plugged into a system, the iPod will make the little charging noise, but nothing after that. The screen won't turn on, nothing else I do gets a response from it. I can restart it by holding the menu and power buttons, but pressing the home or power button then trying to unlock the iPod does nothing. I had a spare lcd screen, so I put that in, but it didn't change anything.
Is there something that I can try, or is there a problem with the logic board?
