Has anybody else noticed this since the update yesterday?
Since updating to iOS5, then to 5.1, my iPod has been painfully slow.

The 5.1.1 update seems to of de-clogged it.
Does anybody else agree? Or even know why?

Faster

I just completed my iPod Touch update. Yes, I think it is snappier and faster.

Home Button better.

I also noticed that my HOME button is more responsive. Prior to 5.1.1, sometimes I would have to click the HOME button twice to awake my iPod Touch. It's still under warranty and I was thinking of bringing it in. Now I just click once.

Good Job Apple. Thank you. :apple:

There might be something wrong with my iTouch as its just as painfully slow as it was on 5.1.

Either that, or you guys are suffering from the post update ItFeelsSnappier™ placebo effect.

No placebo effect! It's for real; just like when my battery life improved with 5.0.

I've restored two weeks ago, better at beginning but now it's slow again. It also slow on the music app!!!

Is your iPod Touch jail-broken? My is not jail-broken. I have read that some people think their iPods are little slower when jail-broken.

nope, l never jailbroke this iPod. I tried to swicht off iTunes match. it helps but still slower. I notice it when unlock the iPod to change the song, most of times the unlock animation stops at the end and freezes for 4-5 seconds.

thanks!

Well, I have to agree it was much faster, now it has slowed down again. :(

AS tehpea says
"Just restore and set up iPod as a new one, it'll do wonders for speed and release some "Other" space."
