Hello!
I own an old iPod touch (Gen5) with iOS 9.3.5. After a long time I tried to backup it and connected it to my Mac (using iTunes 12.8 on 10.13.6) and after this failed to iTunes on Windows (iTunes 12.9.2 on Wind 10 1803 x64) which also failed.
I can connect my other iOS devices without any problems, so the following error seems to be specific to this iPod and is the same on Mac and Win:
The iPod is recognized, but iTunes is then waiting for a confirmation of the connection on the device. So afterwards I click "Trust" on the iPod and expect to be asked for my code to continue in the next step. But the code-screen never opens and so I can not establish a connection to iTunes.
I tried a changed code and disabling the security code completely on my iPod, but still no connection is established after clicking trust.
As I can not perform a local backup resetting the iPod to factory defaults seems no option.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
