Hi everyone.

First time iPod Touch here.

My cell phone is a Blackberry z10. All my emails are always pushed immediately.

I am starting to worry about the iPod Touch, since when it is home and always connected to wifi, it never alerts of new emails unless I just happen to open the mail app. Perhaps I am missing something, this can't be how it truly functions I don't think.

Also, I am thinking about getting the iPhone6, do yall get your emails instantly or do you have to open the app to fetch them?

Thanks for any and all help

Look under Settings/mail,contacts,calendars. See if the "fetch new data is turned off. If it is you can tap "off" and look for "push" and turn that on so new data will be pushed to your iPod.

It was set to fetch on- but the push was set to manual. THANK YOU for the help!

I'm slightly less nervous about the iPhone now lol
