iPod touch Ipod touch 5g low battery warning

My ipod touch does not notify that i'm down to 20% battery. Only right after I plug it in for charging does it pop up the low battery warning. Please help. I've done restoring and it does not solve the problem.

Have you tried setting it up as new (no restoring)? The restore might be bringing a corrupted file back. The battery might be dying if a clean install doesn't help.

I've never gotten notification at 20%. Ten percent, always.

Pleas let me know how to set it up as new? does it require the use of itunes? I've only done factory reset (erased all content and settings) on my ipod touch.. Thanks for your reply hope to hear from you again

Is that normal? My ipad does that too.

In iTunes choose restore. Then when it is finished you can choose to set it up as new or restore from a backup. Choose the new option. http://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201252

My iPhone warns at 20% and again at 10%.
