9to5mac.com have posted an article claiming the new iPod touch (5th Gen) will have the internal codename of N78, and that it will have an "S5L8942X" processor (what looks like a newer A5). It is also reported that the new iPhone and iPod touch will both get a Panorama mode, similar to that found deep in the iOS 5 code. It wouldn't surprise me if the iPhone 4S and possible the 3rd Gen iPad were to get this mode as well.

Also there is a pretty sweet iPod touch 5th Gen mock-up picture, showing what the device may look like in both black and white. You can find the article here:

Previous rumours suggest that the new iPod touch will get a new design with a 1136x640 display. Also rumoured is a new rear iSight camera and possibly a new FaceTime HD camera for the front. Apparently a modified 4th Gen 8GB will continue to sell, while the 5th Gen will only come in 32GB and 64GB versions, starting at $299/£249 in both white and black.

By the way I am British, so I spell rumour like so.

Well, I'm British too and spell rumour the correct way like you do ;)

Anyway, I hope we see these changes in addition to a few more. I t would be a shame though if they only make it in 32GB+.
Since I collect iPods, I'd now have to buy the 4th updated iPod as well as he 5th if these rumours are true.

But if they are, I'd probably buy the 5th gen in 32GB as a replacement for my current 4th gen.

Roll on tomorrow...

:)

I'm hoping for the 64gb going for the the current 32gb price, but I guess we'll see.

All I know is I'm going to preorder one as soon as the Apple Store updates!

I will be given for free the lowest size one, so I hope it gets a better camera for photos (720p video is fine for me, but I wouldn't mind 1080p video camera).

So many amazing apps to use it the moment I get it!
