iPod touch iPod touch 5th gen scuffs?

i have the red 5th gen iPod touch and noticed a very small scratch. hardly noticeable but since i examined it i found it.

and it looks dark at certain angles.

is this normal - like if i take it back i could get one even worse?

Color and location of scratch. I have a 32gb slate and its flawless.

32GB white/silver. Flawless upon arrival and still flawless even though I haven't found a case for it.

It's only two days old, but has seen plenty of use in hand, on the oak dining room table, slid into my pocket, and into my purse. Even took it out in the rain to practice with the camera's panorma mode. Still perfect.
