What is a good alternative to the iPod touch with a 3.0+ megapixel rear camera. I want to keep my iPod I have now. Oh and under $250.

I have tried Galaxy Player, its not so good. Android apps keep freezing.
I have tried Sony Z series, there isn't even a camera. Music is good though.

I have to say, ever since many of the advanced MP3 players largely got merged into smart phones, there aren't many iPod touch equivalents anymore. The iPod touch is really the best thing out there!

I guess I will have to get the iPod touch 5G instead. It's not that I don't like it. I would actually rather have it, but I don't want to pay the price.

buy the T-mobile phone... a bit more $$$ but the ultimate IP touch..
Do not activate the phone , just use it with wifi and voila

I'll second the refurb. If it hadn't come in a refurb box, I would never have been able to tell that it was refurbished.

Things like the nexus 7 and cheap smartphones is what killed off this segment. If you really need something similar, try to find a cheap used nexus 4.

I dont think 7 inch tablet is killing off the PMP. Guy next to me at work have the Ipad mini and i saw him pretty much work everything on his iphone with the charging connector on all day!!!. I even doubt why he would buy the mini in the first place. I too think i would get to use the touch more than the Ipad i currently have. Some mini users are just for Clash of Clan.

A bad imei used iPhone 5 is probably the best "iPod touch".

U can't use cellular anyways but get the better hardware and still get the lastest software.

And a bad imei will go cheaper than a clean imei iPhone 5.

Thats what I'm doing. The specs on the new 5G are to old for my liking so going to pick up a bad esn iPhone 5 after the new iPad.

I'm looking for an Ipod Touch like device strictly for playing movies, I don't need anything else, I have the Ipod classic which is OK for movies but the screen format is too small for watching a 2 hour movie.

The Lumia seems to be the cheapest alternative without sacrificing quality, how does it handle movies, any major differences in this area in comparison to the Ipod Touch?

I haven't really tried. YouTube/Vevo videos play nicely though.

And I meant 5MP, not 8. Still, it takes great pictures.
