iPod touch ipod Touch and VoIP

What are the obstacles to using iPod Touch as a VoIP phone. Now that the SDK is released, if I find a SIP phone application, what else do I need? Does iPod Touch have a microphone and a speaker like the iPhone? It would be great that, from a end user perspective, it works exactly like an iPhone except the phone call would be VoIP over Wi-Fi. It would be cool not put on headphone buds and attaching a protruding Mic etc. Thanks for any tips, pointers and opinions.

The iPod touch has neither a microphone or a speaker. The SDK won't work with external accessories, so a VoIP app can't be released for the iPod touch as it would require an external microphone, which Apple won't allow. VoIP will, for the forseeable future, will only work as the result of hacking. Even then, you would still have to leave earbuds in to hear the person on the other end of the call, which I think is rather pointless.
