I actually already bought a 16GB for my little brother for his Confirmation. I was wondering; Would you rather receive an iPod Touch with all your music already loaded up and ready to go or tear through that shrink wrap and load it up yourself?

I think it would be best to leave the music off of the iPod, that way he feels that he got something new, as opposed to having his gift tampered with before he opened it (at least I'd prefer it this way).

good question. for for anything else, preload songs. for apple products, let the owner do the unboxing!

I would definately rather open up the shrink wrap myself. As mentioned before, a CD with his favorite songs would be a good idea. and/or an itunes card

New, of course. I like the idea of making a CD, or since he (and you) are iTunes users, why don't you create a custom playlist of songs specifically chosen for him, one that he can load right away?

Nice gift, by the way. You're brother is lucky.

Thanks for all the feedback. I actually decided on the custom playlist idea. Seems like the easiest and most efficient way.

I sure did love opening that shrink wrap :)

Best part.
