iPod touch iPod Touch Availability Question

Hey, I'm new to these forums, but I've owned an iPod for years. Sorry if this is a "newb" question on the site, but I was wondering how long it takes new iPods to get into stores after they announce them. I'm stoked for the new iPod Touch, and I want to get my hands on it as soon as I can. Thanks in advance for your help!

In recent years Apple has either announced an available date, or they are available that day or the next.

Alright, that's what I was expecting, I was just hoping I could read about it in the morning next Tuesday then head to the mall later. But we don't live in a perfect world now, do we?

How about accessories? I'd like to be able to buy a case and some form of the InvisibleShield thats out for it now. If the design changes of course.
