Hello Guys...

I am new here so sorry if this is in the wrong forum

I am 14 years old and live in South Africa... but don't make assumptions ok...

I got a iPod Touch for Christmas and it had the .1 firmware on it the first thing I did was Jailbreak it via the tiff exploit...

then last week sometime I decided to update it to the .4 firmware and jailbreak it... I got an application called ZiPhone from www.i.unlock.no and clicked the jailbreak and update for ipod touch button... only then did I realise I first needed to update it to the .4 firmware. I turned it off by holding down the Home Button and Off Button at the same time but now when I turn it on it just gives me a command line type interface and no springboard loads..

It flashes a lot of text and then gets to one line wich it just repeats...

major 1, minor 2 - or something like that...

can anyone help me rescue it...

just incase I wasnt clear I tried to jailbreak the .1 firmware using ZiPhone wich is ment for the .4 firmware...

PLEASE HELP ME...

I don't believe the iPod touch can be bricked. I would try to find 1.1.1 and then do a software restore using that file. Search Youtube for some instructions on jailbreaking and you should find a step-by-step guide. Anyone else care to chime in with a better solution?

use google to get step by step instructions

but you want to put your ipod into DFU mode

then restore via itunes. this will put 1.1.4 on it, then you can use ziphone

\why Did U Jailbreak It? Just For The Sake Of Apps? Its Not An Iphone Which Needs It For Unlocking Purposes

Its his choice, if he wants to he can.

Did you force it into DFU mode, and try an itunes restore?
If not, hit the DFU button in Ziphone
