iPod touch iPod touch calendar not alerting for all-day events

Hi everyone :)

I have just bought a new iPod touch 2nd gen and have upgraded to OS 3.0 but am having trouble getting my calendar to alert me with all-day events. When we did a test for a timed event it was fine but whenever an all-day event occurs I'm not receiving any notification. It's sync'd with my MacBook calendar and I receive notifications on there just not on the the iPod :(

Any suggestions??
