I want to connect my Ipod Touch to my TV, I have the cord for audio but was wondering if there was a cord I could buy that would also do the image/video? Then in addition to that is it possible to buy a remote for the touch that I could use while it is connected to the tv? Would be awsome to use the Wi-Fi of the touch on my TV sitting on the couch. I would spend $100 or so if they had wireless keyboard/mouse or something like that that could be hooked up for this.

My current setup is I have a stereo with an ipod dock that I put it in, the stereo has a remote but the only thing I can make the Ipod do with the remote is fast forward/rewind a song, volume, next/previous song, play, pause, stop. I can't change playlists or anything and it kinda sux.

If you own the Apple iPod dock with the IR receiver on the front, the back of the dock contains an S-video out port and an audio line out port.

CORRECTION:

It appears Apple no longer sells the universal iPod dock that I am referring to. The current universal dock Apple sells appears to not have video out capabilities. The model of the universal dock that Apple did sell at one point is MA045G/A. It has both S-video and audio out, and an IR receiver on the front, but it does not come with the Apple remote.

dang

dam, ok thanks a lot guys for the info. Honestly you would think when you pay top $$$ for a real quality mp3 player it would have any accesory you could need to suit your needs.

Think about it thoe, how sweet would it be if apple made an accessory that connects the itouch to a tv with both sound and video and had a wireless mouse and keyboard to maneuvure around. They could charge $200 and make tons of sales easy, that would make any tv badass.

why buy then when you can get a tv tuner for your mac?

Sounds like you want an Apple TV, not an iPod. The Apple TV is one of the coolest devices I've ever owned. It does what I always wanted my iPod to do and way more.
