I've had my ipod touch for 18 month without problems. About a month ago it crashed to Apple logo when playing a video over wifi. Since then it has done the same thing every couple of weeks. Have restored and DFU'd, but it is getting to be a pain having to do this. Will the next version of the firmware be more stable?

My touch has never been jailbroken

thanks

No offense but this is a really stupid question. It's similar to asking how long is a piece of string.

How on earth do any of us know whether the next version of firmware will be more stable on your device?

Of course Apple try to fix bugs and make the next version of any firmware 'better' and more stable but with anything there are problems.

It could be an issue with your hardware. Just restore it or take it to an Apple Store and get diagnostics run on it.
