I went to sleep listening to music, In the morning, I went over to my Desktop to charge it, and nothing happened, It's been like this for about three weeks....

Now before some of you say. Hold down the power button and home button for about 30+ seconds, I tried that for about 1 minute. Before you say hold down the home button for 8 seconds, and then plug in the dock into the iPod to put it in DFU mode. I tried that to.

iPod Touch 8GB, MC Model, Green Poison Jailbreak on 4.1

I tried randomly mashing both home and power buttons like someone here said, but it also failed, Windows or iTunes will not recongnize it, I tried 3 different cable, one for a iPod Mini, one that came with the iPhone 4, and the one that came with my iPod Touch itself.

If there is any possible method that might make it work will be appreciated greatly. Although if there is no fix(I'm 100% positive there isn't). But troubleshooting will be fun, and make sure that it doesn't work so I won't go throw away an iPod Touch without knowing for sure its dead.

Also, I knew this method wouldn't work, but I tried turning it on or bringing it too life with the same green poison exploit, but nothing happened, I tried on 3 wall chargers, on 3 computers on all there USB ports, Front and back. There's no software meant to fix this problem as I already searched, I already called Apple and they said I'm not under warranty and that they don't know how to turn it on, and said go ask online forums. They gave me the reset iPod Trick, which isn't working(Or I'm not doing it right).

Sorry for this long post, but I needed to put all the info so I wouldn't have to waste time reading remedies I already atempted.

Any help is appreciated, Also, if you think the iPod won't work at all, just tell me so I can trash it :)

Boss same problem here...
My ipod is also not turning on....
wat u did yaar....
Is that waste....
do we have to leave that.....
my ipod is also not in warranty.....

Did it die during listening (meaning the battery was empty)?
There are quite a lot of things that could cause the failing of your ipod. Battery, Dock connector, Mobo ...

I'd go with the trashing part.

English is horrible on this forum. My God. Anyway, I had the same thing happen once. The solution was to allow the iPod to charge overnight or for at least 6-8 hrs. Have you tried that? I've had no problems so far.

Necrobump

I bumped this topic because I forgot about it awhile back,

I never solved my problem, so I am bumping it, I don't think the mods would like a new topic.

Anyway, I'll google how to replace the battery in a little, in the meanwhile, I hope I get new helpful posts.

Hey my iPod 5 was completely dead and not charging. I knew it was not the cable bc I have an iPhone also. Then I realized it's just the plug on the iPod. If I hold the charger at the correct angle, it will charge. How to tell if your dead isomething is charging? When plugged in correctly and its receiving a charge, your screen will show an empty battery shape in the middle for a few seconds. Got it? Good! If you have that AND the shape of your charger blinking below the battery, you are not connected properly! Good luck! Hope this helps somebody.
