iPod Touch Dock

I am looking to buy the original iPod dock (the one without the remote) and am wondering if it is compatible with the iPod touch.

The model number is ma045g/a

All you need is the insert for the touch. The docks just pass the wires from the Connector through. The only concern would be the sound out, which may or may not work.
