iPod touch Ipod touch doesnt shutoff help pls

I have had my touch 6 months. I had it jailbroken; but recently problems occured when I swiped to power off.

The unit goes off for 10 seconds, then the apple logo appears for 10 seconds, then it goes off for 5 sec and starts this cycle again and again till all the power is gone?

Any ideas pls help.

Try to force it into recovery mode and restore from there. I can't think of any other solution.
