I've been buying earphones at the Apple store not knowing that there was a warranty. I've bought at least more than five earphones from all that crinkling noise I hear all the time. But I've thrown them all away, which wasn't a good idea because I know if I brought one of them in I could easily have gotten an exchange for a new one.

If I damaged my earphones is it not covered by the warranty?
I have, the one I have one right now, for a really long time.
It's nasty, there is rips everywhere and the chord turned this weird color...
Other than that when I put in the earphones I hear this weird noise in the background this crinkling noise, once again.
Because of all those problems, I rarely use my iTouch.

I was wondering if it's covered by warranty with all that damage.

I'm assuming the damage that you detailed is not covered under the warranty under the clause regarding normal use and "wear and tear".

I believe that the warranty covers manufacturers defects only. (for example, if the headphones don't work. Or if the headphones explode - that would probably be covered)
