iPod touch iPod touch, error 6

So updated my iPod touch 3g to iOS 5 and right before the update was finished it sayd that couldnt finish the update and my ipod stayed in recovery mode, and i tryied to restore it, it started restoring, and right before it finished, it popped up an error " The iPod could not be restored. An unknown error occured(6)", and now if i try to recover it, it happens every time. Any advice how to fix it?
(Sorry for my english it's not my first language, hope you can understand, and help)

What size is your ipod?
If it's an 8gb, it is actually a 2nd gen and is NOT compatible with iOS 5.

It's 32gb, and it's definately 3g

I'm going mad!!

I have had the same problem, tried different computer, downloaded the firmware. Nothing works. My iPod will not restore.
