I am going to go to the apple and get a new one. My ipod touch has a light leak and could be exchanged. I heard that you have to pay a restocking fee fo exchanging. Is this true? for the people who got their ipods exchanged, did u have to pay any kind of fee, or they just handed u the new ipod touch after u gave urs back?

Nope. I got mine exchanged at the Genius Bar for the same light leak problem. Got a new one really quick, no questions asked.

I'm pretty sure if the genius bar looks at it and deems it 'defective' they just swap it out, no restocking fee. I also had the option of bypassing the genius bar and just pay the restocking fee. So, I guess it all depends on whether the genius bar deems it defective (which they mostly have, according to reports on the forum). :)
