iPod touch iPod Touch G2

First I searched for this and couldn't find it so sorry if it has been asked before.

If I were to buy the new iPod Touch G2 would it come with the new iPhone software v2.1 or would I still have to but it

It will come with it. There's no way you should have to buy any additional software with a new iPod. If it somehow didn't come with it, I would think you could take it in to an Apple store with your receipt and prove that it ought to have come with it.

It does come with the 2g, but not with the 1g. As for bringing your new ipod to the apple store for the update you won't have to worry if you buy a 2g but they're going to laugh at you if you do the same with a 1g. When 2.0 came out the new (1g) ipods were still being sold with the old software and you had to buy the update.
