Yes sadly my ipod touch got stolen today..and I was wondering if there is any way to get into it through the code i had put on. I mean, can they just plug it in itunes, reformat it and go through my account something?

i feel for you man, had my iphone nicked with no insurance (d'oh)

not sure how an ipod touch would work, but with the iphone they can block the IMEI so no one can use it again.

i'm pretty sure they can't run your itunes account into the ground or anyway, it normally asks for a password every time

If they restore it, your data won't be easily accessible. As long as you had a passcode on it your data should be fine unless the thief is a very good guesser. But there's nothing that you can do except file a police report.

did you have any engravings on it?
do you remember the serial number?
do you know who might have stolen it?
where was it stolen from?
how do you know it was stolen and you didn't just lose it?

please answer these, it'll make it easier to understand your unique situation
