Hi,

I bought an iPod touch in the States and I live near Tokyo. I thought I could use the Touch with Flets Spots (I pay for Flets wifi) at hotspots but I can't without a huge device attached to the Touch. I don't want to deal with the attached "device." (In the States the Apple Store people said "Of course you can use the Touch with wifi spots - Internet is Internet." But they were young and had no experience with Japan - I should have known it would not work.)

Any Japan residents know a way to use the Touch wifi in Japan without paying a fortune, or attaching this huge NTT Flets tumor thing to my Touch?

Also, is it possible to somehow attach a USB modem to the Touch? I've learned that there is a prepaid Internet service here called Doccica, which is a USB modem setup. Or maybe with Doccica I would not need a USB modem with the Touch?

Man, I am SO confused. In the States it's simple, you walk into Starbucks with a Touch and Bingo there is Internet. But here in Tokyo? What a mess.

Thanks
