So when I have the iPod up to the full volume limit, the speaker sounds distorted. Almost like it blew. Should I take it to the Genius bar and see what they think about it? I mean...is that just what it is going to sound like when it is full volume, or is it something I should worry about?

I think it is just the speaker...
It is way too small for any type of decent sound.

Don't worry, its made to be like that. Lousy tiny speaker.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_1_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5F138 Safari/525.20)

what do you expect from tiny little one? It is not for music. It is just casual for game and YouTube, demo song.

Thats what I thought...I was just making sure that it was nothing broken! :D
