iPod touch Ipod Touch, Iphone 4s - 2 different Apple ID's with Itunes Match?

Ok, i'm hoping that there is a solution to this but i may be wrong.

I have an iphone 4s and iphone match.
My son has just got a 8GB 4th gen touch.

I want him to have his own apple ID so that he can start buying his own apps etc with itunes gift cards.

However, i also want him to be able to access all our music via itunes match. This is obviously tied to my apple ID.

Is what i want possible?

ALSO

If i dont sync his ipod to my itunes library, how can i get the gift codes onto his account?

Both have to use the same account I'm afraid. Not using Match myself yet.
