ok so my ipod touch is very slow, everything loads very slow and its not stable at all! the apps freeze alot!
Its a second generation, iphone os 3.0, never been jailbroken
I only have 165 songs that take up only like 900 mb.
3 videos that take up 60 mb
18 apps that take up 120mb
only 20 images that take up like 2 mb.
thats it.
i dont want to restore it at all.
anyway to fix without restoring??
many thanks!

why not restore it? It'll more than likely fix its problems, it'll just wipe your ipod clean and put all your data back on. And with the small amount of data on yours, which seems about 1.1GB in total a restore and sync will take only a few minutes, literally. Just restore it, why don't you want to?

Question, when you do a restore, does all your IP address and wi-fi info restore as well?

my 1g ipod touch with 3.0 is incredibly slow as well.. (well its an slow in general, even with 2.2).

Upon clicking "Restore," a message warns that I will lose all the songs purchased on the iPod Touch and will have to re-purchase them. Pretty big disincentive.

These songs would transfer to iTunes library after a Sync.

My device now won't Sync. It stalls in the "Backing Up" phase.
