This may have been covered, but, I could not find it.

My iPod is currently loaded with 4.3.3.

Is it necessary to use iTunes to Restore to 4.3.3 then sn0breeze to Jailbreak, or can I just make sure I am backed up in iTunes and jailbreak?

Thanks in advance.

I am sorry I can't answer your question with all certainty, however, the best place to post threads on jailbreaking for the iPod Touch would be in the iPod touch Hacks forum.

No, you don't need to restore. Well, I don't know for snowbreeze, but with redsn0w you don't need to. At least I didn't and it works. Yet I highly recommed backing up. Because if you or the program mess up, well, you know, restore to the latest backup. Which I had 2 months old (yep, I don't know how).
