I got an ipod touch yesterday, plugged it into my macbook pro, charged it and put some songs on it.

Today i turned it on and found it unresponsive because the little white loading circle is in the middle. it says "slide to unlock" but i can't do anything while it loads. so it loads for roughly 5 seconds and then stops for 1 second before locking up and loading again. every time it locks up it goes back to " slide to unlock" so i don't even have enough time to turn it off. its really frustrating. does anyone have any advice? it would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Have you tried 'restoring' your iPod touch?

Restoring your iPod touch essentially wipes it of all data and re-installs an original copy
of the 1.1.4 iPod firmware - therefore ridding your device of any software bugs/issues.

If you haven't, hows how:

Note: Be sure to sync your iPod touch once before carrying out this process so that iTunes can
take a snapshot of your current content and settings which you can then restore to the device after
completing this process below.

1. Plug your iPod into your Mac/PC
2. Choose the iPod from the left pane in iTunes
3. Hit 'Restore' on the 'Summary' tab
4. Follow on-screen instructions given by iTunes
