Okay, so I'm hoping someone here can help. I've been racking my brains for weeks, and just can't seem to get the location service working on google maps application.
I understand it works via WiFi, and more specifically your MAC address in the Skyhook Database. I have submitted my MAC address to the database, and the strange thing is, that when connected to the same network, my netbook finds my location just fine using google + skyhook!
Also, the iPod touch location service works just fine on my university's wireless network. I have tried all different types of protection, WEP, WPA, WPA2, etc. I have tried disabling my routers firewall, but still nothing!
If anyone has any experience, and can help then it'd be much appreciated!
