In iTunes, right click any song and press Get Info. In the new window, click the lyrics tab, and enter your lyrics there.

On your iPod, when a song is playing, tap the album cover once to bring up the lyrics. Don't double-tap, if you do that the cover will turn around and list the other songs on the album, not the lyrics.

Not even double tap, just tap on the album artwork and you can see the lyrics provided you have them in the "Get Info" section of that song.

By the way, GimmeSomeTune is a great iTunes extension that gets the lyrics for any song you play on iTunes from some lyric website.

Nah, tap once. It will bring up the progress bar like usual + the lyrics.

I don't know of any all-in-one awesome extension, but you could try this one that is under the iTunes utilities page for Windows (even though it doesn't say "iTunes" in the description) to see if it works.

Hey I just went to the link and downloaded evillyrics and tried it out! It works perfectly. All one has to do is start playing a song with itunes with evillyrics running. And in most case evillyrics finds the correct lyrics and automatically adds it to itunes. Thanks for the tip!

get gimmesometune (http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/ipod_itunes/gimmesometune.html)and Doug's script (http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/scripts02.php?page=1#playgroupingnextinps) and you can pull lyrics for your entire library automatically, then sync to your touch.

Or if you're jailbroken, get the wikitunes program which will display your lyrics while and on some songs automatically scroll them if it has the timing for it

ya. it does work. nice find. however, it hate how it picks random areas for lyrics...but, minor complaint. it works. thats all that matters.

You would thing when we purchase a some from iTunes the lyrics would come with it for free! Afterall the album art is.
