the google maps u can have on the ipod have a localization button that it localizates you right? on the apple tutorial the guy who controls the iPod press this button and the iPod localizes him. I've always pressed this button and it says: your location could not be determined. how can I make the iPod localize me? and does this feature work on south hemisfere (where I live)? I don't think so, but I'll wait for ur answers. thank you!

it is strange, though. everytime I try to do this it doesn't locate me. I don't know but I hope to find a wifi that works with this locate button.

The company that provides the WiFi mapping (Skyhook Wireless) has logged the network information in the United States and Canada. They are now finishing up with Western Europe. As of right now, I don't think that they've done any mapping outside of the northern hemisphere. It will probably come in time, though, especially if you live in a heavily populated area.
