Hi, I just got an iPod touch 2g from my sister, and restored it. She also gave me a microphone with it. She says that she was able to get the microphone to record stuff in voice memos. However, when i go to plug it in, and open up voice memos, it says there is no microphone connected. I tried about five other mics, and headphones with mics on them, but none of them work. How can i get a mic to work with it? am i missing something?:(
Thanks in advance

I could never get external microphones to work on my second generation iPod touch, and they still don't work on my fourth generation. As a matter of fact, when I use my Bluetooth headphones with my iPod, I can give voice commands with them but cannot record voice memos, so it seems the problem is Apple's intentional limitations.
