Why can't the Nike pedometer work in iPod Touches too when, like the Nano, they also use SSD so there is no danger of hdd failure when undergoing strenuous exercise?
 
Its a software thing... not a hardware thing.

I think it is coming soon, because someone had seen a reference to nike sport in the iPhone's registry (software).
 
I'd love to see it on the iPhone and iPod touch because I think both these systems could do charting and syncing in realtime.

Because they would have to redo the software. The iPod touch's architecture is completely different. I'm guessing they just can't be arsed.
