I just got an ipod touch and for the past week everything had been fine, syncing, ect. but the other day i have ran into problem, everytime i try and connect to itunes i get a message saying "itunes could not connect to the iphone - because of an unknown error? this is an ipod touch, not iphone! does anyone know how I can correct this?

Yes, I've had this problem too. Very strange. It came about when I upgraded to the latest version of iTunes, I don't think it is related to the new iPod firmware.

I don't know a solution, but it seems to have stoppd happening on my iMac for now at least. iTunes doesn't automatically open when I connect my iPod though.

Same Problem

Even I have had the same problem when I try to Synch my Ipod Touch. The error message reads " Itunes could not connect to the iphone because an unknown error occurred.
