Hi guys hope someone can help me out.

I have a 1st Gen iPod touch which i use when commuting to & from work. I just got home tonight and it was working fine. I connected it to iTunes on my MBP to update it with a few cd's i've just purchased and now the iPod is showing as not having any music on it at all. iTunes is showing the device as having 8GB of audio held but the message on the iPod is ' No Music" & "You can download music from iTunes"

Can anyone help please??

You can try restarting the iPod, but if that doesn't work, I'd uncheck the Sync Music option under the Music tab you see when the iPod is selected in iTunes, and then click apply, and then re-enable the Sync Music option and apply once again.

If they can not displaying music than any virus is in your iPod so you have to format memory and reinstall the music. After doing this its not working properly than you have to replace your iPod.

iOS devices cannot get viruses. Also, there is no indication as of yet that a restore is even needed, or that there is a fault serious enough to require getting another iPod...
