iPod touch Ipod Touch not updating play count!

I've just noticed that my ipod touch does not update the play counts after I have listening to my songs. I have tested playing one song, then plugging it into the computer, however after a whole day of listening when I plug it back into my computer hardly any appear to have been played. Has anyone experienced this problem and is there a fix?

are you playing songs all the way to the very end? it won't count it as played unless it goes to the very end of the song like when it switches to the next song by itself

yeah im doing it correctly (i've had 3 previous ipods), thanks anyway
ive got the latest software with the new apps, its really annoying!

This happens to me too. Even when I plug it into my computer, it doesn't update. It's weird.
