I have heard mixed feelings about the iPod touch's camera. Some people say it sucks, while other people say it can replace a digital camera. Could someone post a photo taken with an iTouch 4g rear-facing camera so i know for sure what the photo quality looks like? It would be much appreciated! Thanks.

It's a 0.7 megapixel camera. Trust me, it sucks. There is no way you will be replacing a digital camera with it. On the other hand, video is HD which is really cool!
I think there's a thread somewhere that shows some photos, give me a minute and I'll search for it.
EDIT: Heres a thread full of pictures taken by the iPod touch.

The iPod's camera won't replace a regular digital camera. You can't depend on it as a camera, especially if you own one already.

Stop thinking about the camera. Start thinking about the videos and the main features of the device as an iPod touch.

The iPod Touch Camera like the iPhone Camera and all other phone cameras uses fixed Focus lenses and does not have optical zoom so they will never replace a digital camera. They are however good for candid shots.

The iPod Touch 4 camera is only 0.7mp and produce images probably good for emails and those social networking sites.

Here are some samples

Here is one of Biker's photos after a little touchup in Photo Shop Elements.
Not bad for a .7mp camera.

It CAN'T replace a digital camera even thought the quality is rather decent.
It's good for taking good snapshots of things you happen to see on your way.
eg. car crash on the way to work
You tend to need a steady hand for nicer shots on this camera.

There ARE a few tweaks though, which enables HDR and increases the megapixel on your camera through a jailbroken iPod touch.
