All --

I am a new iPod Touch (second-gen, 16GB) owner. I'm very impressed so far. I'm observing some bizarre behaviour, though, that I don't understand.

When playing MP3s on the Touch, the player ALWAYS seems to be in "Shuffle" mode. I always list by album and start playing an album by touching the first track (not the "Shuffle" option). But when that first track has finished, the Touch invariably goes to some other random track in the same album, instead of the next track in sequence.

Am I missing something basic here?

Thanks for your help.

tap the screen while a song is playing. When the drop down menu appears you'll see 2 arrows "twisted together" on the right side of that menu. they will be blue. tap that once. the arrows should turn white. you are no longer in shuffle mode.
