iPod Touch Pre-Orders

Any word on what’s happening with the iPod Touch pre-orders, I just tried to phone apple but there lines are closed until 8am tomorrow

You mean to tell me that people are buying them up in retail and the pre-orders have not even shipped yet?

when did you order it? i ordered mine on the 9th, and it still hasn't shipped...

i ordered on sept 5th, the day it came out.

I oredered mine the morning of the 9th, and as of this morning (when I last checked), it had not shipped yet either. Seems like they are working through the backlog of online store orders by sending out the earliest orders first.

It also sounds like if you ordered with engraving, it is adding another week or so to your ship time.

I would cancel mine and just pick one up locally but I ordered it with an iMac on the “Back to school” offer so I guess its worth waiting to save that extra £85, also there is a slim chance that us who wait wont get the issues that some other people have been experiencing with there iPod Touches
