So today I went to the Apple store to replace my iPod Touch (8GB, 2nd Gen) as the headphone port was broken.

As the Genius does the ole switch, I take notice at the box for the refurb and the price. The price on the side was $119.99. Yes, not $199 as they are listed at Apple.com.

I tried taking the pic with my 1.3 mega pixel Samsung crap-phone. Obviously, zooming wont do too much, but you can see the outline of "119".

Do you think there is a price drop on in-store Touches?

Lets hope the new iPhone coming out this summer will have a quality camera to prevent Mr.Blurrycam's. Since I plan on picking one up.

Definitely a newbie thread.

You just received a SERVICE REPLACEMENT. Which are refurbished yes, but aren't for sale in the open market. If you had broken your iPod Touch, and wanted to get a Srv Rplc instead of buying new you would have paid the $119.

Those guys don't have any other accessories with them either, just the iPod.
